If the code is going into a poster you are already designing in Canva, generating it inline is the shortest path there is. No second tool, no export, no import.
What you get is a static code inside a design file. It cannot be re-pointed, it reports nothing, and it is not stored anywhere you can find it later. For a one-off flyer that is fine. For anything that will be printed at volume, the constraint bites.
A note on fairness: the QrZeo column below states shipping product facts. The Canva QR column describes its general positioning and commonly known behavior — specifics like prices and limits change, so verify current details on their site before deciding.
How QrZeo and Canva QR differ
| Capability | QrZeo | Canva QR |
|---|---|---|
| Where it lives | A managed workspace with folders, tags, history and analytics | Inside a design file |
| Dynamic codes | Re-point any dynamic code instantly; the printed pattern never changes | Static only |
| Analytics | Daily trend over 7/30/90 days plus device and country splits, per code and workspace-wide | None |
| Bulk generation | CSV up to 10,000 rows and a REST API returning ready-to-use SVG and PNG URLs | Manual, per design |
| Vector export | SVG on every plan | Depends on your Canva plan and export settings |
Which should you choose?
- The design and the code are the same task, and the code is genuinely one-off.
- You do not want another tool in the workflow.
- The code will be printed at volume or on something you cannot cheaply reprint.
- You need to find, measure or re-point the code after the design is finished.
- You want SVG output and a record of what was printed where.
Moving from Canva QR to QrZeo
Migration is CSV-shaped: export your customers, products and documents from Canva QR, map them to QrZeo's provided import templates, and import — up to 500,000 rows per file, processed in the background with duplicate detection. Full documents come across with their line items, and referenced customers or products can be auto-created during the import. Read more about the import system, or test the destination first in the guest editor.
