What a free account adds

Website and Text codes above are complete and permanent — nothing is watermarked or time-limited. An account exists for the things that need a service behind them, not to unlock what you already have.

Dynamic codes

Encode a short link instead of the destination, then re-point it after printing. The pattern never changes.

Design controls

Three module shapes, any brand colour, a centre logo, and a "scan me" frame — with error correction handled for you.

Scan analytics

A daily trend over 7, 30 or 90 days with device and country breakdowns, per code.

The other 22 types

Wi-Fi, vCard, PDF, video, menu, event, payment and the rest, each with the right form and correct encoding.

FAQ

Questions about making a code

Is the code on this page really free to use commercially?
Yes. It is an ordinary static QR code encoding exactly what you typed — no watermark, no expiry, no attribution required. Print it on whatever you like.
Do you store what I type here?
No. The encoder runs entirely in your browser, so the text never leaves your device and the PNG is generated locally. That is also why this page needs no account.
Why do the other types need an account?
Because they need something running behind them. Dynamic codes need a redirect we host, file types need somewhere to put the file, and structured types like vCard need a builder and somewhere to save it. Website and Text need none of that.
Will this code stop working if I never sign up?
No. A static code has no dependency on us at all — the destination is encoded in the pattern itself. Download it and it works forever, with or without an account.
Can I change where this code points later?
Not this one. Re-pointing requires a dynamic code, which encodes a short link rather than the destination. If there is any chance the URL will change, create a free account and make it dynamic before printing.
Can I get an SVG instead of a PNG?
SVG export comes with a free account. It is worth having for print, since a vector scales to any size without softening the module edges.
Why is my code denser than another one I have seen?
More characters means more modules. A long URL with tracking parameters produces a noticeably denser pattern than a short one — which is one practical argument for dynamic codes, since a short link encodes smaller.

Keep the code. Add the parts that need an account.
