Why flat pricing
A code that goes viral shouldn't generate an invoice
Plenty of QR platforms meter scans, so the better a campaign performs the more it costs — and the worst case is a code that stops resolving mid-campaign because a quota ran out. QrZeo never bills for scan volume. What you pay for is dynamic codes, because each one is a redirect we have to keep running reliably for as long as the printed code exists. One honest caveat: dynamic codes depend on an active plan, so if you are printing something you will never reprint and want no ongoing dependency, use a static code — those are free, unlimited, and work without us. Start free and upgrade only when a code needs to change.
FAQ
Pricing questions
What does the free plan actually include?
Unlimited static QR codes, all 24 content types, full design controls, PNG and SVG export, and three dynamic codes so you can see re-pointing work before paying for it. No credit card, and static codes never expire.
Why are dynamic codes the thing you charge for?
A static code is a one-off computation — once you have the image, we are out of the loop. A dynamic code is a redirect we have to keep running, and keep running reliably, for as long as the printed code exists. That is an ongoing cost, so it is what the subscription covers.
What happens to my dynamic codes if I downgrade or cancel?
They stop redirecting, which means anything already printed stops working. Static codes are unaffected. We will tell you exactly how many printed codes are at stake before the change takes effect rather than letting you find out from a customer.
Is there a limit on scans?
No. Scan volume is not metered on any plan — a code that goes unexpectedly viral will not generate a surprise bill or stop resolving. Only API request volume has a monthly allowance.
How is the API allowance counted?
Per request to the REST API — creating, reading or updating codes. Scans are not API requests. Pro includes 25,000 requests a month and Scale 250,000; sustained overage is billed per thousand rather than blocked.
Can I change plans mid-month?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately with a prorated charge for the remainder of the period. Downgrades apply at the end of the current period, so you keep what you paid for.
Do you charge per team member?
Not on Pro, which includes five members in the price. Scale removes the member limit entirely. There is no per-seat pricing on any plan — a viewer who only reads analytics costs the same as nobody.
How is payment handled?
Securely by Stripe. QrZeo never sees or stores your full card number — we hold a token and the last four digits so the billing page has something recognisable to show you.
Do you offer refunds?
If something is wrong within the first 30 days of a paid plan, contact us and we will sort it out. Because printed codes depend on the subscription staying live, we would rather resolve the underlying problem than have you cancel and break a print run.
Is there a discount for annual billing?
Yes — paying annually works out cheaper than twelve monthly charges. The exact saving is shown on the pricing page when you switch the billing toggle.
